Q. What is the best way to manage my landscape?

A. At New Leaf we have developed a timeline that is in synch with nature. To maintain the appearance and health of your garden, we recommend the following Landscape Timeline:

  • Spring: (March-May): Plant bulbs, prep soil, foliage ground cover, clean up winter debris
  • Summer (May - August): Tree servicing, swap past bulbs and plant annuals, weeding, mulching, Ivy, pruning
  • Autumn (September - November): Swap annuals and replace with perennials, tree pruning
  • Winter (November - December): Remove perennials and plant spring bulbs
  • Winterizing: Mulch, fresh sod, place evergreen boughs in thin areas
  • Holiday Decorating: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Valentine's Day and of course, Arbor Day.

  • Q. I live in a high rise. What can I do?

    A. New Leaf has years of experience transforming barren city sidewalks, entrances, plazas, terraces and balconies into living works of art.

We can add faux walls, fountains, flooring and tiling in a variety of materials to create colorful spaces in which plants can grow and flourish. Please see our portfolio for some ideas, and contact us today!

    Q. I have a landscape designer, but she can't do the heavy lifting. Can you help?

    A. We have worked with other landscape designers, architects and contractors since we founded the company in the early 1980s. During this time we have established excellent relationships with reputable professionals in the landscaping field, as well as many top flight florists in the New York Metropolitan area. New Leaf provides total landscape design, and we are always available to work with other professionals. The main thing is to keep your property healthy and beautiful.
